Leadership Cowley County is a program dedicated to training individuals from all walks of life in the principles of civic leadership. In one retreat and seven day-long sessions, the class members learn about and travel to many areas in the county and study and practice curriculum drawn from materials
by the Kansas Leadership Center (KLC), a leadership development organization with the charge of cultivating civic leadership throughout Kansas.
To practice leadership principles, the students participate in exercises to challenge their own strengths and weaknesses and each session offers opportunities to explore the motivations, values and perspectives of others and study the elements of successful team-building.
Leadership Cowley County is run by a board of past graduates and is funded in part through an endowment held with Legacy Regional Community Foundation. For further information, visit the www.leadershipcowleycounty.org.
