This information will help you as you engage with donors to raise funds to optimize the match for your fund.
22 are funds participating in the event this year. The base match amount is: $4,545. What this means is that donor gifts will be matched dollar-to-dollar up to $4,545 per fund with the donor gifts adding to the principal of the endowment and then the match dollars are distributed to your organization. Maximizing the base match equals a $9,090 impact value for your work!
Each event there have been those that don’t meet the base match amount and those that exceed it. All donor gifts are added to the principal of your endowment fund. Any remaining available match dollars will be proportionally distributed to participating funds that exceed the base match amount. During last year’s event (with a base of $3,500) one fund received total impact of $20,629.32!
Important points to remember and new opportunities:
1. Goal: $4,545 or more
2. Start: August 1
3. End: August 30 at 5:00 p.m. (donations must be received AT LEGACY by this time to qualify for the match).
4. Gifts from Donor-Advised Funds (DAFs) are NOT ALLOWED.
5. Do not use the old Network for Good link as Legacy is now using a new integrated computer system. A link that takes donors directly to your fund on the portal has been created. You should have received the link via email. If you need assistance with the link, contact Legacy at 620-221-7224 or email ceo@legacyregionalfoundation.org.

7. Legacy has purchased (5) shared banners for display in your offices or another location that is friendly to your work. Banners will be available for check-out to each participating fund for a one-week period. Contact Yazmin at ceo@legacyregionalfoundation.org to schedule your week.
8. We are developing promotional materials (especially for social media) to publicize the event, as well as working with local radio station BOBFM to kick-off the event August 1 as guest Deejay followed by a series of advertisements and pop-in throughout August. Help us to talk about your fund by completing this questionnaire by Tuesday, July 30.
9. Legacy is working with a local videographer to help you to have a professional 2-minute video (at no cost to you) to promote your work. Contact Yazmin at ceo@legacyregionalcommunityfoundation.org as soon as possible to schedule a recording session. Videos will be completed in the order they are recorded.
