In August, your donor’s money can do more! We’re excited and grateful for the opportunity the Patterson Family Foundation has provided to you by gifting $100,000 for this event!
The following information will help you as you engage with donors to raise gifts to optimize the match for your fund.
Personalized Online Donation Link. A link that takes donors directly to your fund on the portal can be secured by contacting Legacy CEO Yazmin Wood at ceo@legacyregionalfoundation.org. If you have a link from previous Great Give events, it should still be active (but we are happy to resend upon request). Check the link before distributing for use. If you have an updated logo for the landing page, contact Yazmin.
Forms. The online toolkit includes a sample letter to donors and the donation form, as well as other helpful information. (see below)
Yard Signs. Legacy has purchased double-sided “Great Give” yard signs for posting at your location and other high visibility places. We are trying to be good stewards of our limited fundraising budget, so we ask that you check them out and let us know where they are placed. In that way, we can collect the signs following the event for use at future times. Contact Yazmin at ceo@legacyregionalfoundation.org now to reserve/pick-up your signs.
Note: Recently, there have been questions about where signs can and can't be placed throughout Arkansas City. To help clear up any confusion, here's a quick overview of the City's sign regulations that was recently provided by the City of Arkansas City.
Signs are NOT permitted on public property or within public rights-of-way, including:
• Street corners
• Medians
• Sidewalks
• Utility strips
• Other City-owned property
These regulations help protect visibility for drivers, keep sidewalks accessible, and improve safety for everyone using our streets. Unauthorized signs placed in these areas may be removed without notice. Many types of signs are still permitted on private property, including temporary signs, residential signs, and election signs when they comply with City regulations. If you're unsure whether a sign can be placed in a particular location, we're happy to help before it goes up.
Contact the Community Development Department at 620-441-4420 with any questions.
Banners. Legacy purchased (5) shared banners for display at your location or another site that is supportive of your work. Banners are available for check-out to each participating fund for a one-week period. Contact Yazmin at ceo@legacyregionalfoundation.org now to schedule your week.
Promotional materials (including social media). Promotional materials, including a 6-week social media campaign, to publicize the event are included in the toolkit. Help us to talk about your fund by completing this questionnaire by Wednesday, July 29.
READY. SET. PROMOTE THE EVENT!
If you want something that you don't see in this toolkit, let us know. Chances are that someone else will appreciate it, too, so there's no reason to reinvent the wheel. Let us help with template pieces so you can focus on connecting with potential donors.
Start sharing on social media. As you share information out regarding your participation in Legacy's Great Give be sure to use #LegacyGreatGive, as well as the other hashtags suggested in the social media campaign, and tag Legacy.
Starting August 1 you will see regular social media posts (FaceBook, Twitter, LinkedIn and Instagram), as well as regular communications to local media and our donors. We are happy to share your news, too. If you connect with our pages, we’ll do the same for you. Our links are inserted below for your convenience:
