Legacy, a Regional Community Foundation supports and assists all manner of activities and organizations across the communities served. The Foundation’s grants and collaborations are far too numerous to list here.
Please call or stop by the office for personal service! As a 501(c)3 not for profit organization, Legacy can accept gifts of cash, stock and land.

Arkansas City High School After-Prom: Supporting a safe and fun activity/environment for area students following the spring formal
Arkansas City Community Health Fund: Directed to the South Central Kansas Medical Center
Arkansas City Physician Recruitment: A 1:2 matching grant opportunity to support recruitment of new physicians to the Arkansas City area provided by a generous gift from the Robert Warrender Trust
Arkansas City Public Library Endowment and Building Fund: For children’s programs and building upkeep
Arkansas City Public Schools Enhancement Funds: ACE is the acronym for all of the funds benefiting Arkansas Cities Public Schools. Contributions can be designated for a particular area.
Arkansas City Rotary Club Charitable Fund: For local projects and programs
Bailey's Barking Dog Park: Supporting the effort to create a safe and secure public space in Winfield for our canine friends
Bartlett Arboretum (in Belle Plaine): Truly a treasure for the region. Contributions will be used for maintenance and development of the wonderful property.
Belle Plaine Community Foundation Funds: All funds in the community foundation are to benefit Belle Plaine and Mulvane Youth. Contributions can be designated for a particular area.
Beth Anderson Irving School Reading Fund: Provides classroom books for 2nd graders at Irving Elementary in Winfield, KS
Beth Anderson Music Theatre for Young People Fund: Provides tuition assistance for students to participate in camps/shows with the Music Theatre for Young People in Wichita
Better Together Fund: Supports rural development in Cowley and surrounding counties
Big Brothers Big Sisters of Cowley County: Helps kids get a BIG match!
Burden Chamber of Commerce Endowment: Supports an annual scholarship
CPRF Endowment Fund: Providing sustainability for CPRF organization in providing for the needs of Cowley, Chatauqua and Sumner County residents requiring wheelchair and posture seating services
Camp Horizon Building & Maintenance: Endowment to support building and maintenance projects at Camp Horizon
Central Burden USD 462 Endowment: Meets extraordinary needs in the Central Schools
Cherokee Strip Land Rush Museum: Adds value to the region through museum special projects
Communities In Schools : Provides flexible investment in students attending our local schools
Cowley Campership Fund: Endowment to support scholarships for youth who reside in Cowley County to attend camp and programming at Camp Horizon
Cowley Cares Coalition: Offers a helping hand to single mothers who are working diligently to make life better for their family
Cowley County Conservation District Fund: For encouraging conservation conscience in youth
