Winfield, KS, April 11, 2013 – Last month’s Match Madness brought in $14,004 for local charitable endowments. On Friday, March 29, 2013, Legacy Regional Community Foundation hosted Match Madness, offering $10,000 dollars in matching funds for donations made that day to nonprofits with endowments held at Legacy. Qualifying contributions received a 50% match.

“It was great to see community members – hundreds of them over the course of the day – demonstrate their support for our local non-profits. All told, with $14,000 for the community and Legacy’s match and bonuses, Match Madness put a total of $22,328 into the coffers of these organizations,” says Pam Moore, executive director.

The Arkansas City Public School Enhancement Fund, Habitat for Humanity Winfield, and Winfield Public Library were the top three organizations by contributions received.
